A to Z Challenge - Kiss me Kate and more K names

K has a shorter list of names than other letters. A lot of the names have C counterparts, but I'll dig deeper than that. K shall contribute some interesting characters.

Women:
Kizzy (African) an energetic woman. Someone needs to get a group up and moving.
Kisha (Russian)  a genius.  Quiet and alert, she'll provide data that leads to solutions for the group
Keiki (Hawaiian) resembling an orchid

Men:
Kantrava (Indian) resembling a roaring animal.  But does he really have bite?
Kyros (Greek) a leader or master
Kemp (English) the champion

All of my male K characters will clash, and I'm guessing it will be over Keiki.

What do you think?  Is it Karma?

  1. I like your comments about what these characters will do - the guys fighting over Keike - funny. :) Your stuff has always made me laugh. I hope to see stories of yours again soon. And the characters will all have kick ass names! Kiara for a girl is cool and I love love love Kent for a guy

    1. I shall put a Kent in a story somehow. This has been a fun A to Z and has broadened my horizons for naming characters.

  2. I like Kisha the best. With no reason why, Kisha just sounds nice.

  3. cjs, I love Kiara!!! I've always loved the name Kevin for a guy and I kind of like Katarina for a girl. When I was a kid I tried to name one of our puppies Katarina, but my parents found a home for her and the guy changed her name to Precious.... I almost gagged when he told me. LOL!

  4. K somehow sounds strong. As such K names tend to stand out The name Konrad Adenauer, German statesman before somehow fascinates me. Nicely Joanne!

  5. I like Karma as a name. I keep thinking I need to work it into a book--but I think that name has a story all its own. It would have to be ironic--as in she was born to earthy parents but she is the exact opposite, so her name doesn't really fit.

  6. I feel like I could see them fighting over Kisha - in my head she's got that femme fatale thing going. :) Fun theme!
