Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day Weekend is upon us. I hope you all had a great summer. Here's a salute to those who braved air travel

Airline Counter Woes

expectations and brochures
pour over maps
trace paths of imagination
inhale a memory
exhale a moment
fumble for luggage
one piece chose a different flight

lines and lines and lines
to claim loss

inner scream like the two year old who is

Enjoy your weekend and (in theory) the last vestige of summer

  3. Good poem, but I do believe we'll pass on getting on a plane... not this weekend, probably not ever. It just isn't as fun as it used to be. Or as classy, and you KNOW how "classy" I am...

Happy weekend, kiddo. No screaming allowed.

    1. thanks. It's not fun to fly but it's still a good way to crisscross the country or ocean. The problem with driving in Tx - it takes too long to get out of this huge state!
      Stay classy!

  5. You've made me SO glad that I'm not flying anywhere this weekend (or any time soon). "Inner scream" = astutely accurate.

Have a wonderful weekend, Joanne, with no need for inner screaming.
