Ease into January

I'm not ready for a major 2016 post. I'm not ready for January of a new year, or traffic, or accounting clean up of 2015, or being serious again.

So, Happy Monday.  Back on Saturday, a friend and I wandered into a store that was "giving" Christmas stuff away.  This fellow caught my eye and I decided he could hang out in the backyard for awhile.

If a scarecrow keeps the crows away from the crops, will a metal snowman keep away feet of snow and ice??

It's worth a shot. I'll let you know if it works

  1. I'm not ready for a major post yet, either. THAT is why that, for 2016, I've decided "Captain Captions" will now be on Mondays, instead of Thursdays.
    I suppose that's lazy.

    1. the predictions for this year do not involve ice and snow like last year which was an unusual TX winter. Rain is more likely and that's fine.

  4. I've been trying to give away Christmas Stuff to family members ever since I began the downsizing. This year I gave some as gifts...how can they say no to presents!!! Your scarecrow/snowman philosophy should fit right in with Texas Mother Nature...who knows what is next with her. I've decided ANY post is a good one when starting a new year.

  5. I doubt he's intimidating enough to keep any creatures away, but he's pretty darn cute.
    Have a good week, Joanne.

  6. I love your new snowman. Like you, I have some whimsical snowmen around the house to fend off the real thing and to make me smile. Tell ya what. If our snowmen don't do the job of keeping the snow away, we'll have to make a real snowman and post a pic of it on our blog, okay?

Happy New Year! May it be a bright and shining one for all of us.
