Finally Friday - but does that really mean anything?

It's been quite a week at work - just stuff.  It's been quite a week in the news - scary stuff.

I do have some book reviews I need to write for this blog, but I can't muster the typing strength to do so.

This meme says it all for our upcoming fourth quarter. Instead of the sport saying, "Put me in coach, I'm ready to play," my heart, mind, and body is screaming, "Take me away."

So, on that note - have a super duper weekend everyone. Our weather in TX is supposed to be lovely; so I shall take a walk, sit on the patio, avoid news, and relax. (Maybe I'll mow the yard, Ray)

Be safe, y'all.

  1. Yes, depending what happens in November, it could get even screwier. No one dare say what next. Think I'll just go enjoy our backyard this weekend as well.

  2. Hi Joanne - I am getting more time to write my posts up - even with the awful blogger ... I might do an interim trial run to test out a couple of things - I don't 'do' blogger the way others do ... so need to find my way back. We'll see!!

I focused on the autumn last spring, and now I've decided Easter 2021 is the thing to totter along too.

Gosh the weather change here is incredible - mind you an easterly wind doesn't help ... deluges of rain yesterday with hail as a side show. Tis chilly - I am now in jeans et al - however many layers I feel like!

My act is vaguely in gear ... and I'm so pleased I have the blog to tag onto and keep me sane and active ...

Enjoy your weekend - wish I could dash over! Take care - Hilary

    1. I like the idea of focusing on Easter 2021= rebirth of sorts. We shall see.
You are doing tremendously - at least in your blog and your replies like this one. So pleased!
Perhaps someday we shall meet in person for a cup of tea and a gander at a museum.
      Cheers my friend

  3. Haha. Wouldn't it be fantastic if the 2020 Season Finale is anti-climactic?

Take good care, my good friend.

  4. Blogs sure can keep one sane and active, some of us anyway. No sane here lol

Hopefully the finale doesn't just fade to black for us all.

    1. and I count on your poems - whether happy or sad, I enjoy our blog discussion. Have a good weekend. It's lovely here - we could take a nice quiet social distance walk around the block.

  6. I was so tired yesterday. During the dog walk, we sat on a bench looking over the river and just watched the clouds go past. It was so beautiful. No photos because I didn't want to ruin the moment. I just sat, with no one around, and it was exactly what I needed.

    I hope you have a relaxing non-news weekend x

    1. amen. I'll do that. Or just sit on my patio. No music. Not even reading. Just sit. Often a hawk flies overhead. We all do have to sit and breathe. Take care yourself - tea, wine, chocolate. (or I want to visit the Saltash Bakery!)
