A to Z Challenge - Grapple

Grapple

with life struggles
pshaw, the world snorts
at my innocence
grasp the concept of despair
desperation, naïve I give to charity
feel like I made a difference
while people clutch at air
shuffle their tarot cards
too much death, no gold

pray for heaven as they live a

hell

(Happy Friday everybody - yes I promise to lighten up soon)

  1. It is so tough to make a difference...and frustrating that it's so tough. There's only so much we can do, only so many people we can help with our volunteer time and donations.

  6. Meh. I'm not going to Hell.
Hmm...on the other hand, I'm not going to Heaven.
I'm spending 1,000 years in Purgatory.
Well, now, that is a depressing thought with which to grapple.

  8. Prayer is where it's at. And I've always found the word grapple to be a funny word. Not sure why. Grapple. it's funny.

  9. I think our efforts do help and do make a difference, but it's frustrating because there is always more to be done and more in need. Deep and thoughtful post today, Joanne. Hope you have a nice weekend!

  10. Gosh! You really are grappling with despair here. Glad you're going to lighten up soon. Too much despair is not good for anyone.
