Memorial Day

The patriot's blood is the seed of Freedom's tree -  Thomas Campbell
All we have of freedom, all we use or know, this our fathers bought for us long and long ago - Rudyard Kipling

Happy Memorial Day.  As we celebrate and grill, swim, and hang out - let's remember........

    1. Thanks Yvonne. Indeed Arlington Cemetery is striking. All those rows of white crosses.

  6. Hi Joanne - we definitely need to remember and your Memorial Day comes at a time that we are building up to summer fun - so it's good to remember now and for us to commemorate our lost souls in November on Remembrance Day. We are so fortunate to be free ... Cheers Hilary

  7. I hope you and Ray enjoyed a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. I may forget a lot of things, but the meaning of Memorial Day isn't one of them.

    1. Thanks. Yep. Those who served must be honored, especially those who sacrificed their lives.
