Fall at the Dallas Arboretum is absolutely beyond spectacular. Ray was busy calculating the pumpkin count. Over 500 on one building alone.
Our Texas drought has affected other areas. Even the arboretum's flower color is a tad faded. Still lovely, but you can only water so much. We needed rain in October (hello climate issues)
Um, pumpkins galore
Cue the mums.................oh, yeah!
and a sweet statue finale

I don't think I've ever seen purple mums before.
ReplyDeletethat color just popped. They have test gardens and no doubt came up with that shade somehow.
DeletePumpkin buildings, even? That's unique.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could send you some of our rains. But perhaps you're finally getting rain in Texas? At least, may the drought be over. Sheesh.
Hugs.
The arb goes all out. It’s cool. We are cooler now with a chance of spritz soon. Not enough.
DeleteHave a great weekend
Hi Joanne - pumpkin season ... tis the colour, and no doubt after a drink or two of something even cola - purple would fit too ... take care and yes I know - lots of rain in places, none elsewhere ... I'll away the appointment of a rain tsar - cheers with tongue in cheek - Hilary
