Elation
is
more than overall happiness
it’s
the sheer delight,
absolute
joy of a moment
it’s
reaching the top of the rollercoaster
spotting
a soaring eagle
being
swept up by a crowd cheer
anticipating
the moment your taxi
zooms
out of the tunnel and you are overwhelmed
surrounded
by skyscrapers and humanity
elation
is a welcome hug at baggage claim
familiar
face aglow with love
never
forgotten
