Last weekend - Ray and I headed to his aunt's in San Saba. On Friday, we had a jaunt to Fredericksburg. Wildflowers galore - bluebonnets out the wazoo. Thank you Lady Bird Johnson for your Texas beautification plan - the highways and byways were out of this world.
So pretty! I've never seen bluebonnets in person, but I've seen some amazing pictures of them.
ReplyDeletethey are really pretty and don't last long. They do a good job here of not mowing over them - big clumps along the highways. Plus fields of them. Sounds like you need to come to TX in the spring.
DeleteSuch vibrant colors! Yay. Spring is alas here.
ReplyDeleteThings are popping. It's perfect right this week
DeletePoppies!! Spring flowers are all the more beautiful because they are so temporary.
ReplyDeleteThe poppies are so joyful. And I love tulips - I think I was too late for them
DeleteHi Joanne - wildflowers in the countryside are gorgeous a feast for the eyes. Love them all ... we have our bluebells now, and daffodils ... must have been a lovely trip - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeletethanks. And I know you know your flowers. You're getting into full spring bloom I'm sure. Ours will fade fast, alas.
