In honor of the Old Broads Waxing Poetic book launch www.amazon.com/dp/1500642800
I am featuring the poets. Saturday - Delores Lowndes
She's a newfound friend from the north - oh Canada. Her poems look to the past, present, and future and whether it's a dusty road or a peek into the kitchen, she brings a warmth and a hearty soul to her word pictures. Her bio claims curmudgeonly, but I don't believe it.
Enjoy the twinkle in her voice and the calm in her poems and writing - http://ramblingsoftheterminallyaging.blogspot.com/ The blog is a joy and the poems in Old Broads Waxing Poetic speak for themselves.
King John - the good, but mostly the bad ...

This Old Broad thanks you for your kind words. I have my books....can't wait to dig in.
ReplyDeleteI'm also skeptical about the curmudgeonly claim. Her poetry's too eloquent. Fountain of Youth is my favorite; I suppose there's a bit of curmudegeon sprinkled in.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend, Joanne.
The Old Broads book sounds quite entertaining.
ReplyDeletewe'd like to think so, Sherry. (and a great gift for the old broads in your life) E-book is coming too
DeleteNope. Not curmudgeonly. Not a bit. I refuse to believe it!
ReplyDeleteI loved her kitchen poem. Wonderfully done!
ReplyDeleteDelores is constantly challenging herself, and is always coming up with creative ideas. I love how she could write a heartfelt poem one moment, and a fun children's poem the next. I don't think she realizes how talented she is.
