What better way to spend a gorgeous Saturday than to go to the Fort Worth Alliance Air Show, sponsored by Bell Helicopter. We had not been to an air show in a few years, so this was a treat.
Stunt parachutists and planes defied the laws of gravity and physics. How do planes do that??
A P Mustang from WWII and the F22 Raptor flew in tandem. The Raptor was unbelievable. Wow - so impressive, Ray said, "I'm fine with my tax dollars spent on that machinery."
An assortment of ground planes and displays rounded out the day
Quite a show under the wild blue yonder................

Definitely a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Great photos of the wild blue yonder and the flying tax dollars.
ReplyDeleteit was such a pretty day. There are worse ways to spend our money - at least this stuff is big and shiny!
DeleteLooks like a fun and entertaining way to spend a Saturday.
ReplyDeletewe had a blast
DeleteSounds like a really good show!
ReplyDeleteRay had a crick in his neck from looking up so much
DeleteThat's exciting and different. Thank you for showing us a bit of the air show. I've never been to one.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, Joanne.
It's a lot of fun. The acrobatic planes are amazing and the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds are so precise. I bet they have shows out in CA - keep your eye out.
DeleteAlways love going to air shows. Looks like you had a great day, as well. Seems like summer has turned a corner here, too. It's almost chilly. Not quite yet. But almost.
ReplyDeletegrowing up, we went to the air shows at Willow Grove base. My mother loved the Blue Angels.
DeleteWhen I was a child, we often went to air shows in England and the national aerobatic team (The Red Arrows) used to practise their routines over the farmer's fields I could see from my bedroom window :) Lovely to see your photos and rekindle those memories - many thanks :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like it was a spectacular event. Sadly the UK had an air show recently with a heartbreaking outcome. One of the planes failed to defy the law of gravity. Should there be tighter controls over these displays? we are all now wondering.
