Football rivalry - The Texas Longhorns vs Oklahoma Sooners coming up that Saturday
Yes, we ate our Fletcher's corny dogs. That's tradition
Just took a picture of one of the stands featuring a new fried concoction. I went back to last year's winner - Fat Smooth - a fried beignet. It did not disappoint.
11 am to 7 pm - over 10K steps, and maybe 10K calories. That's the Wednesday Wow - Texas does it up BIG

Looks like a lot of fun... gorgeous weather, too! (I reckon that's why they don't hold these fairs in the middle of the summer, eh?) The pic of you as a corn dog is adorable, but I'm gotta say, I sure hope the sign in that last pictures means they sell both cotton candy and tacos, and not cotton candy tacos... :)
ReplyDeleteoh but it's TX and a new concoction - yes fried cotton candy taco......it looked okay, and yet hmm......you never know. Maybe it will reach GA some day.
DeleteHi Joanne - yes as Susan says it does look like a lot of fun and I bet they do it big and OTT ... love the various places - and you look to be enjoying yourselves - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeletewe hit the fair just right before our week of monsoons begin. Had a super duper day

Delete10K steps sure is a lot. Sure looks like a lot of fun was had.
ReplyDeleteoh, but the calorie intake is always more at the fair. Coupons for food..it's like monopoly money. Free!
DeleteYou are braver than I am going on that ferris wheel! Looks like a fun day! Cotton candy taco though...think I'll pass!
ReplyDeleteExactly. They'll fry up anything every year... makes it interesting.
DeleteWonderful pictures Joanne loved the post.
