Monday Election Eve - Vote

Tuesday , November 6, 2018 is another Election Day.  We are fortunate in America. The dates are set for elections - it's not random, it's not willy-nilly, it's not after one group dissolves, and others are formed. It's very regular and we get to choose.

Ray and I chose early voting.  We are a "divided" household and, no doubt, "canceled" out our votes. But we did it and we'll still be alive and talking on Wednesday morning.

Today is Monday. I hope you've done the same - early vote, or you'll be stopping at the polls on Tuesday between 7 am and 7 pm to give your vote, your opinion, and exercise your freedom.

Good luck, America!

  1. Voting is most important, it you don't vote then you can't complain should not go right.

    Have a good week Joanne.

  4. No early voting in Pennsylvania. I must say, I'm not a big fan. But, that said, if it was allowed, I'd do it. Yeah, so I contradict myself. You're absolutely right, though. No matter what happens we'll be alive Wednesday morning.

  7. Yes, I also voted early (Monday). I'm glad I did - there was a line, so it was good to do my civic duty when I had a much freer schedule. It did feel good to vote. Fingers and toes are crossed. I'm going to watch election results shortly.
Thank you, Joanne, for always sharing important messages.

    1. howdy - well early projections are not pleasing, but not surprising. Not shocked in TX, that's for sure

  8. We voted early, too, and even then, the wait was about an hour. I was happy to see such a huge turn-out, but not over the moon with the results. (Except for regaining the House.) Ours is a "divided" house, too. (sigh) Needless to say, we rarely talk politics. Our votes have cancelled each other's out many times over the years, but we're occasionally on the same page. I generally vote for the individual rather than the party, but not this time! I should be ashamed to say I did more voting AGAINST than FOR this time around, but dang! It felt good!
