Gorgeous weekend here and Ray and I enjoyed a jaunt to Southlake for their annual Art in the Square. Just a fun gathering of artists, musicians, and food in a pleasant setting.
We welcomed some new pieces into our home. A bit of a zen mixed media piece, and two drawing/acrylic paintings. They brighten up the front rooms.
An art stroll - take advantage of spring and festivals. Enjoy!
Pleased you and Ray had a good time. Loved the photo's. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
thanks. Always an enjoyable outdoor event
DeleteSounds like fun! You picked out some super art pieces, too. The wall color behind the acrylics is the same as we had in our living room and hallways for quite a while. I think it was called pumpkin, maybe? Or pumpkin pie...? That'd kinda make sense, because the color in there now is called (ready for it?) pineapple upside down cake. HA!
ReplyDeletewhat's funny is the wall is white. The lighting in the room made it look rather orange. I tried all kinds of angles and said the heck with it...
DeleteThey do certainly brighten up the room.
ReplyDeletethanks. Nice to have some fresh pieces.
DeleteSure bring some brightness indeed. Can't beat a good art stroll.
ReplyDeleteit was a perfect weather day. Not this weekend though - rain and more rain ahead
DeleteVery zenny
ReplyDeletethanks. I am enjoying it
DeleteThese two work very nicely with the wall color.
ReplyDeleteYay for zen and mixed media art.
I've really moved into work with textures. Just more dimensions to look at.
DeleteI like your choices. Serene and soothing.
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne - what a great walk around ... and then to get two new additions for your home - love them. Cheers Hilary
