Monday Moments - Hello 2021 Clean Slate

Some filler as we begin 2021.   Another lovely snow pic from PA.
A winter wonderland at peace.

Hope everyone had a good New Year's weekend - safe, no hugs, no parties

And this is SO SO True in Texas.  You can sit on the patio without smelling like Off Bug Spray (as long as that darn brisk North Wind from Oklahoma isn't blowing across the border).

You know what - 2021 looks the same to me. I always think it should be like awakening in OZ - a new technicolor life.  But back to work, still wearing masks, should start a diet. Hey, Ray's retired - that's new.

                                        Some people to to priests

                                        Others to poetry

                                        I go to my friends

                                                  Virginia Woolf

Let's continue our writing fun, chats, and creativity - thank you blog land friends.

  2. New Year is like your birthday when you're a kid - you expect to feel different but you still have to go to school and do your chores.

    Beautiful pictures of snow x

    1. thanks. Virginia summed it up pretty well. Right now I'm more about friends, but some creativity is festering...something has to give in this ridiculous brain of mine.

  4. Hi Joanne - I actually swatted a mozzie on New Year's Day?! We don't get that many thankfully ... but I'd be bitten to smithereens. Enjoy those days with Ray in his retirement mode ... but we just need to get through whatever life decides to give us - I hope a kinder world ahead. Friends, family and blogging et al keep me cheery ... all the best - Hilary

    1. oh, if I'm around the mosquitos flock to me. You're safe. So far, the weather has been good for Ray so he can begin his freedom outdoors a bit - play some golf, etc.

    1. it is good news that Ray is retired. He's a happy man and he's puttering about taking care of stuff I didn't know needed attention. All good

  8. With all the crashing and cracking around me, I do more writing. It refreshes my soul to pour meaning into words.

The quote is great. I once said to my son that mosquitoes are the most useless unnecessary part of God's creation. He is an entomologist, and apparently they are useful in pollination.

    1. everything has its purpose, but...we can still not care for the creature or thing. Glad your writing refreshes. We've all found more meaning in so much. Take care!
