Happy Birthday Eve for My Sister

Happy Birthday Lori!  I post this on Monday and she can celebrate the week.  This picture is from  the University of Delaware. We roamed around it this summer and she's  happy  to  be a Blue Hen alumnus.

My  baby  sister (ten years younger) is still a kid  at heart.  She (right) enjoyed seeing her old  pal Pluto this summer at Disney  World along with her friend, Jenn (left).

Summer concert fun with friends.   Lori is retired, stays fit with her YMCA classes, and volunteers at a local library.  She's  the best.

Happy Birthday, young'un.   Enjoy a super  week and a healthy year.   Cake!!!

Always a smile, always a smart comment, always  there to help dad. She's the best sister and I always joke, the best turkey, we could  have been blessed with in November. Cheers, kid!   Love ya.

Almost Wordless Wednesday :Lori and Longwood Gardens

Here is my baby sister, Lori, celebrating her birthday (11/25) at Longwood Gardens.
They are glorious. I've been there in the past - lovely light displays, the gardens themselves, and a wonderful fountain show.
See what I mean?  Feeling the spirit?
The reds and yellows are apples!

Tis the season!

Favorite

It's Friday and here's a pic of one of my favorite people in the world - my sister Lori. She's ten years younger than me, lives back east, and just had a weekend in NYC. Somehow she caught a quiet moment on the Brooklyn Bridge. Amazing to not get run over by bikes and pedestrians. Her smile says it all
She nabbed a pic of Times Square for me. What a place. What energy. You have to be there to believe it.

And that's some favorite things on a Friday as we lead up to the Fourth.

What's going on in your world this weekend? Doing any favorite things with favorite people?

Enjoy

Fun in PA with Pa (alias Dad)

Quick trip to PA - post Thanksgiving/pre-Christmas. Arrived on a lovely winter day. Blue sky, very cold, and icicles hanging from Dad's front porch.
They are in for a wicked winter. This shows the accumulation on the bushes from the Sunday and Tuesday before I flew into Philly. But it is pretty and glistens in the sunshine.
Saturday turned bleak, but dire predictions did not stop us. We had tickets for an exhibit at the Michener Museum in Doylestown. Teensy flakes fell in the morning. Here are my Dad and younger sister, Lori braving the cold with a smile.
My smile is more of a grimace as a cold wind blasted us. We scurried inside and waited for my brother, David, his wife Cherie, and my Aunt Janice. I will have more on the exhibit in a later post. Needless to say, we had a splendid time, great lunch at the Hickory Cafe, and we got back to Dad's before more snow accumluated followed by sleet.

You can go home again.
