I have plenty of ornaments gathered from travels, and I enjoy placing them on the tree. But this (paper) tin soldier made from a toilet paper roll is my favorite. Kevin brought it home a long time ago (he's 33 now). It has stood the test of time, and sums up a lot of Christmas joy.
Aw....so sweet. I have a little box of ornaments our daughter made in her school years. Little treasures.
ReplyDeletePaper Tin Soldier...now that is rare and extremely special. Good job Kevin....you created a Christmas Memory that will forever M'body' the toilet paper roll tube. I hear the tube is about to be declared obsolete in favor of a 'Tubeless Toilet paper roll.
ReplyDeleteThe ornaments the kids made are always the best!
ReplyDeleteAw, that is really sweet. So many memories are tied up in our Christmas ornaments too.
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, we might still have a picture of a dove that I coloured in in primary school. It was my favourite ornament because it showed an extraordinary ability to colour inside the lines.
ReplyDeleteIt's very impressive looking, not to mention the sentimental value. So much love in that little soldier.
ReplyDeleteBroad hugs. I hope you're well, Joanne.
Really? I admire people who can turn trash into something artistic like this. Nice!
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays!
