Monday Moment - Art from the Phillips Collection

 How about a Degas?

 Throw in a Cezanne?
So many awesome paintings in the Phillips Collection that is being shown at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth TX  ( www.kimbellart.org )

Duncan Phillips had a vision and the money to amass an amazing amount of art. I enjoyed reading all of the blurbs about what he chose and why?  At some point he wanted a Van Gogh and basically put the word out.  Oh, if you have money, you can get what you want.

Lovely exhibit and I am very grateful to be able to zoom to Fort Worth on a Sunday and peruse such beauty.

  3. I do love the impressionists! I saw a great exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum the summer I moved up there, 1999.

  7. Very nice to look at but I wouldn't want the clutter on my walls. Thanks for commenting about decluttering today, on Alex's blog. Congrats on being decluttered. We love it, too.

  8. Beautiful artworks. Must be awesome to be able to put the word out - does someone have a Van Gogh I might like? - and get one, just like that :)

  9. Think I like the still life the most out of these four. Our little town has an old ice house that has been turned into a museum. We are fortunate as they not only showcase local talent, but have other artists in from time to time. Don't know that they have ever featured any of the masters.
I Saw it on Facebook at Life & Faith in Caneyhead. :)
