Other members of the cast – Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren – offer a swimming stew of friendship, revolt, power struggles, jealousy, and more. The key to survival for underwater Atlantis and the surface world is the Trident of Atlan. Aquaman’s quest to find it and put it to good use is fun and the plot weaves in and out of seaweed, fish, and seahorses carrying underwater knights. The movie effects are well done as life bobs along in the water – bubbles, waves, and more.
Jason Momoa carries this movie and is a worthy addition in the DC pantheon. He swaggers, grins, and can hoist a Trident above all others. No need to hold your breath for too long. Treat yourself to a huge tub of popcorn and dive into Aquaman, the movie.
Yes! It's just an awesome good time. And from the looks of it, Aquaman will easily cross a billion dollars and become the most successful DC movie ever.ReplyDelete
I think because it's light. So many DC movies are very dark. Fun!Delete
More than "Wonder Woman?" It is a very good movie, just wondering...Delete
"Batman v Superman" and "Justice League" were dark.Delete
"Wonder Woman" I didn't think so.
The Dark Knight Trilogy? Yes. But, they needed to be. Because Batman.
Wow, I did say my NERD ALERT was over, didn't I?
Oh Boy...a new DC super hero, and a movie that is making waves. I'll see it for sure...and maybe even at the big screen. Thanks for review!ReplyDelete
thanks and it's awesome on the big screenDelete
Sounds like an excellence film Joanne. Pleased youenjoyed it.ReplyDelete
very fun flickDelete
This is one I definitely want to see. What better way to escape the rainy weather than by sitting in a darkened movie theater with our fellas watching a fun flick?ReplyDelete
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
worthy of the big screen. Spend more on popcorn than on the matineeDelete
All my female friends have been raving about this movie and sharing Jason Momoa memes on Facebook. hahaha Certainly gives Aquaman more 'cool cred', esp. if you watch Big Bang Theory and remember Raj's Aquaman costume.ReplyDelete
ha ha ha! exactlyDelete
Can "Fifty Shades of Aquaman" be far behind?Delete
Just a fun time is a win indeed. No dark and dreary crap like the rest of the DC stuff.ReplyDelete
it was time for a superhero to have humorDelete
Which is EXACTLY why I really like "Thor: Ragnorok."Delete
First: I LOVED this movie.ReplyDelete
If "Game of Thrones" has taught us anything, is that the firstborn son of the king is the rightful ruler.
Not the bastard half-breed son of the queen.
So where did Meera (especially) get all this "right to the throne" thing?
Of course, Orm was a douche, so there's that.
Okay, NERD ALERT over.
Time to go pick apart "Star Trek: Discovery."
thanks for the extra analysis. Let's face it - Aquaman (Arthur) just had better hair. There you go!Delete
My husband and son went to see this, but I passed and stayed home. Not my type of movie, I guess. Or maybe I'll catch it later on DVD. They both enjoyed it, though, and it sounds like you did too. :)ReplyDelete
If they watch it again at home someday, join in. You'll be amusedDelete
