this is called Rush Hour. You can tell it's "old" - nobody is looking at a cell phone
just a cool sculpture at the Nasher in Dallas
Me - ready for Dallas Stars ice hockey. I'm wearing Ray's retro shirt from Daryl Sydor...trust me, it's old. But he was a damn good skater/fighter/etc. The Stars were a bit lackluster for the game we saw.
And finally - on Netflix - watch Period. End of Sentence. It is a 30 minute short documentary that won the Oscar. Trust me...it's very thought provoking.
And on National Geographic channel - watch Free Solo - the Oscar winning long documentary feature. Holy Cow. I hope you have a big screen TV to appreciate El Capitan in Yosemite, and the fact that this young fellow climbed it WITHOUT a rope. OMG
That's it for Wednesday - Ash Wednesday. What are you giving up?
Me - nothing........I'm no saint. I'm giving up on this week and waiting for the weekend!
King John - the good, but mostly the bad ...

Loved the photo's Joanne especially the first.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Wednessday.
Yvonne.
thanks. I thought you'd like that one
DeleteLook at you! That's awesome.
ReplyDeleteHad to chuckle at the cell phone comment.
I made Ray laugh out loud when I said it at the garden
DeleteHi Joanne - glad to see more of the sculptures ... while good to know Ray really enjoyed his hockey and you enjoy wearing his shirt ... good to see - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteOh and he had his own shirt - a more current year. Mine was the retro one. We are a sport family!
DeleteSame here about cell phones.
ReplyDeleteWe were at Yosemite last October and saw two climbers. One had his "tent" hanging on the face. Free climbing--his mother must have hated that hobby.
sounds like a good way to lose a phone or a life. Yikes!
DeleteDefinitely NOT watching the Free Solo. When I catch snippets of people doing things like that it freaks me right out!!! Hope you are well, Joanne!
ReplyDeleteit is darn crazy...he doesn't take it lightly. Lots of talk about dying in the flick.
DeleteAll good here
haha can easily tell age with no cellphone attached
ReplyDeleteI don't observe Lent so I don't give anything up!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chuckle. Good observation about the absence of cell phones in that sculpture. I wonder if we'll ever get back to the good ol' days where people are actually looking around instead of looking at their handheld gadgets...
ReplyDeleteDo those "free" climbers have a death wish? Yipes. The climbing is scary enough without losing the safety ropes.
Great photos! I liked your no cell phones comment--so true!
