Guess who was still out with just a t-shirt as we saw Ray's folks, ate lunch out, and then ran an errand at Best Buy? ME! I was laughing at my own fool self. The cold hit way earlier than predicted. Brrr
Awoke on Sunday 1/2/2022 to 23 degrees. Dang.
Hey, I am retired - that is a new ME. Quite refreshed with no alarm on a Monday morning.
No clenched stomach on Sunday night. This is wonderful.
The pile of goodies is definitely diminished. Grocery shop on Friday was quite practical.
As we wade and wallow into the new year - be kind to others and yourself.
We'll figure this out together!
Our area gets that deep freeze today. Crazy it was eighty here New Year's Day!
ReplyDeletebrrr. stay warm and just write like crazy. Cheers
DeleteA wonderful uplifting post Joanne, Hopefully a better year all round.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Thanks. I try to find the humor, my friend
DeleteHi Joanne - congratulations on joining Ray in retirement! Lots of interesting times ahead - so 2022 should be fun. Our chill is about to arrive - briefly, I hope!! Enjoy - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeletethanks. I need to rev up again here in 2022. More book reviews, etc ahead. Stay warm. I'll join you for a hot cup of tea!
DeleteWent to Washington to watch the [insert non-offensive name here] play the Eagles. It was gloriously warm. Even though it seemed weird that it would be so on January 2nd...did I mention it was gloriously warm? Luckily, we beat feet after the game to head back to Virginia Beach, where it was 65 degrees at 8 PM. The next morning? Oh, not so much. And I learned that many people were stranded on I-95 between Fredericksburg and Washington. Whew! Dodged an ice bullet there, for sure.
ReplyDeleteGlad your timing was perfect. The Iggles squeaked. Meanwhile the Cowboys stank. Not an impressive division. That I-95 mess - wow. You did luck out.
