Favorite

It's Friday and here's a pic of one of my favorite people in the world - my sister Lori. She's ten years younger than me, lives back east, and just had a weekend in NYC. Somehow she caught a quiet moment on the Brooklyn Bridge. Amazing to not get run over by bikes and pedestrians. Her smile says it all
She nabbed a pic of Times Square for me. What a place. What energy. You have to be there to believe it.

And that's some favorite things on a Friday as we lead up to the Fourth.

What's going on in your world this weekend? Doing any favorite things with favorite people?

Enjoy

  1. That is rare to get a quiet moment on the bridge. She looks so proud of herself!

  2. I LOVE the energy in Times Square. Someone told me she's going there for the first time next year and I said, "Go see Hamilton." She didn't even know what it was and she said it sounds awful. I just kept stressing EVERYONE's talking about it! I need to make another trip to NYC. It's been a decade.

    1. I love NYC - everything about it. I hope I can catch the touring production of Hamilton someday in Dallas. I have the soundtrack and it's so amazing.

  5. Is your sister some kind of a super hero? It's uncanny to see that bridge so empty, no matter what time of day it was. (Isn't New York the city that never sleeps?)

Not sure what all we'll be doing this weekend, but it'll be with my favorite husband (technically, he's my only husband, but even if he weren't, I'm sure he'd still be my favorite...) so it'll be fun. I hope your weekend is a blast, too.

  6. Neat photos! It looks like your sister had a fun time. We're having some of my husband's family visit us tomorrow for a cookout. I'm not sure what else we are doing this weekend yet. Hope you have a nice holiday!

  7. That is rare indeed for it to be so bare. Times Square is quite the spot

  8. NYC scares me. It's so frenetic. I've never stayed overnight there, just gone on day trips and once to see the Grateful Dead at Madison Square Garden. Not much going on here at our house. Hubby has to haul lobsters overnight out to NY State and back on Sat. and I think Sun. Monday night he has night trips b/t Boston & Taunton. I might walk over to Canalfest on Mon or Tue.

  9. Neat picture of your sister on the bridge! I think it would be fun to visit Time Square sometimes, not sure with the crowds though. Having a gathering on Sunday here, should be fun.

    1. It's an amazing experience. You don't have to live there. Just see it and a Broadway show.

  10. I'm cutting the grass and vacuuming the pool.
You know, basic "living the dream" kinda stuff.

  13. What an interesting photo with the bridge so quiet!! Your sister has an amazing smile it really does shine through from the picture :) I can't imagine ever being able to take such a one on any of our London bridges they are always busy whatever time of day. Loved NYC when I visited when I was a student and keep thinking I ought to have a mother daughter trip there as I know she'd love to experience it too. Here's to your upcoming 4th of July celebrations :) Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
