Filler post. I have some reviews to write, but I get home from work and do NOT want to think
Forgive me. As soon as Halloween was over, I cleared the dining table for the big 80 birthday.
Then last Sunday, I cleared the table for my Thanksgiving 2016 tablescape........
Oh yeah - we have the spirit, how about you?
We are not hosting Thanksgiving (Praise the Lord). We are in line to bring fruit salad to Ray's sister's place. They are expecting up to 25 people. Holy turkey.......that's a lot of folks.
Story to be continued in one week. We just don't want the Cowboys to be turkeys - dang, they are on a roll.........

Always good when you can go somewhere else for Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteYour table looks nice. I think we have a stuffed turkey somewhere. Probably still in the closet...
pull him out before Christmas gets in the way
DeletePretty table! Not sure what we are doing for Thanksgiving, but definitely not hosting it.
ReplyDeleteBetty
gobble gobble, that's the way to go
Deletehaha going somewhere else is sure the winning way
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne - fruit salad sounds good though .. but I do love Thanksgiving or Christmas ... delicious celebratory meal .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteand I love the desserts!!!
DeleteYour table looks so pretty. I love all those fall colors together. We are hosting here, but not until Saturday after Thanksgiving, and only for 12 people, so it shouldn't be too overwhelming. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI am sure your gathering will be wonderful - I wish you well.
DeleteYour table looks so cheery. :)
ReplyDeleteNope, I haven't done any kind of decorating, and I don't have to do any cooking for Thanksgiving, either. For about the past decade, my only task on Thanksgiving is to play with the grandchildren. AKA feel-good therapy
Happy Thanksgiving! (This is the only time of year it's perfectly okay to tell our friends, "Get stuffed!")
Sounds like you have a good plan Enjoy those kiddies and indeed get stuffed
DeleteWe're hosting my stepson, stepdaughter & her husband again this year. But we do everything out of a box or jar out of convenience. My hubby cooks the turkey and prime rib too.
ReplyDeleteIt is all about the company and laughs. The food is a bonus and ease of prep is a bonus. Enjoy!
DeleteHope you enjoy your Thanks Giving when it eventually arrives.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Yep. Still have to work hard three days next week. Whew!!
DeleteFirst time in many years I won't be spending Thanksgiving with my brothers and sister and their families. This year, it's me, Mrs. Penwasser, and our daughter.
ReplyDeleteOur son (whom I call Simba, because he left the Prideland a couple years ago to live in Virginia) is going to watch a football game in Cleveland.
At least I'll be with the important people (except Simba, that is).
well, too bad for Simba - silly man. All the best and enjoy fall leaves and beer, and turkey, and beer.......have fun
