Monday Moments

Here's Skylar, age 18 months, with her big Crayon filled with blocks. Too cute, right?

Well the moment actually occurred later in the Christmas celebration. I watched as she tootled around in the kitchen. Soon up on tip toes, hanging on to the table, her finger managed to dip into a dessert. She pulled it out, looked at it, and proceeded to lick that whipped cream. Delighted, she went back for more.

It was funny to watch and I let her have another finger splosh or two (there was only one slice left of the whipped cream chocolate pie) before I gave her some with a spoon and then wiped up the mess.

Looking back at your Christmas celebrations, did you observe a toddler with a finger in the pie? Any singular laugh  out loud moment to share?

  1. I think it is so wonderful to see toddlers playing with their toys and learning as they play. It takes me back many years I confess but awe inspiring never the less.
    Loved the photo.
    Have a good week.

  2. They are so curious at this age! Everything is new to them and they love exploring what they can explore :)

He's not quite a toddler (though taking a few tentative steps on his own) but it was fun to see grandson get delighted at looking at the Christmas tree with the lights and decorations :)

    Darling little girl!

  6. No kids at Christmas, but it's always funny when my wife is just as surprised with the gift she gave me because she forgot all about it.

  7. No toddler for us. But an 18-year-old niece I hadn't seen in a year, and who mades an 18 hour drive to get here, followed me into the dining room when I was all alone, just to give me an unexpected hug and say "thank you." That was my holiday "nugget."

  8. It always brings a smile or giggle to see toddlers or kids being themselves (so long as they don't stick their fingers into my chocolate). Smiles.
Thanks for the delightful Monday moment, Joanne.

  9. She is adorable. My niece's three-year-old daughter was at our Christmas celebration. She was into everything and was the center of attention for everyone there. :)
