Intense
That's Ray's bowling ball and how he plays the game.
Hope your Wednesday is a swirl of green ambition and intensity in whatever you choose to do.
(Then again, to keep the world in balance, I plan to be really lazy all day - even at work. Care to join me?)

ReplyDeleteand Ray can throw tricky, but hasn't found the niche
DeleteIt's Thursday now, but yeah... I can be lazy :-)
ReplyDeleteyeah - but you've been super duper busy. You deserve a day of rest
ReplyDeleteNice-looking ball. Smarticus and I used to do a lot of bowling. He and I belonged to a Friday night mixed league, I bowled on two daytime ladies' leagues, and the two of us bowled on a limited one-season league for amateur radio operators. So, yeah, we bowled a LOT. I got to be pretty good, especially on the ladies' scratch league. There's a lot of truth about people doing better when challenged by better opponents.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, we gave away all of our balls and shoes, bags, etc. some time ago, and hadn't done any bowling for maybe fifteen or twenty years. (Time flies when you're having fun...) Well, when we visited our older son and his family for Christmas last year, he asked if we were up to some bowling. He thought it'd be fun for the whole kit and kaboodle of us to hit the lanes. Smarticus and I weren't sure about it, but we were willing to give it a try.
Long story short, we each bowled one frame. For me, my arthritis and the sticky didn't slide-one-little-bit stinking lane didn't get along well. It hurt too much. My poor hubby actually stuck and fell flat on his face with the first ball, and stuck again with ball two. We opted to act as cheerleaders after that. I reckon our bowling days are done, dammit.
However.... I did read in the paper the other day about some duckpin lanes in our area... :)
I'm late in reading your bowling saga. Ha. I was never good at bowling and my tennis elbow kills me after one game. I'll join you on the sidelines and cheer.
