Hum Along with Me on a Wednesday

Easter weekend in San Saba Texas (at Ray's Aunt Pat) means plenty of sitting on the front patio and watching the hummingbirds. There's a steady hum in the air and they dart every which way. I did take a video but do not appear to be clever enough to upload it.

So, hum a happy tune on a Wednesday. Sip your version of sugar water - soda, sweet tea, or a milkshake. And zip about doing your chores.

Hey - we are halfway through the first week of April. Not too shabby.

  1. Hi Joanne - sounds a fun, peaceful time ... I'll join you with 'Whistling a Happy Tune' ... well I'll hum the whistling tune! Yes I need to zip - it's a wee bit chilly here - but I won't talk to you about frostbite this year!! Cheers Hilary

  4. You made my day! I am addicted to hummingbirds. I have three feeders in my backyard. This year it may end up being four. I just love watching the little fellas flit across the yard, into the garden, levitating. It will only be a few weeks before I can put my feeders out again. Do you know hummingbirds have memory? They come back to the same place to feed. I've actually had them hovering by the window before I've put the feeders out for the season, as if to say, "Get with it lady!"

    1. Yep - Pat looked for the scout - always around the same time and sure enough - it said "C'mon" to the whole gang. Quite fascinating
