Monday Moment

We take turns grocery shopping and yesterday, Ray trudged out with his mask on to forage in the aisles. He did notice some empty shelves again - with Texas numbers rising, are folks hoarding/panicking a bit? Perhaps.  But, in a sweet surprise, he brought me these flowers. Said, "I thought you needed some color at the kitchen table."    And I did - it's the little things that are so huge.

F = Flowers.   This was cool at the Dallas Museum of Art.  Local florists designed arrangements as inspired by art work.  Other than the Turner, I did not take a photo of each pic.  But trust me, the works echoed the art.

I work for a small engineering test lab for the aerospace industry. The office and work areas are very basic (rather drab) and filled with tools and machinery. However, one of the guys surprised me with his artful arrangement - a bouquet of zip ties.

Sometimes it's the little things that brighten a day.

It is May, but since I did A to Z Challenge (FUN!) you missed some good April stuff. I went to one of the best places on earth on Good Friday - the Dallas Arboretum. Check out the gloriousness

Easter candy 

signals spring

fluorescent jelly beans

tangy mango surprise

familiar Hershey kisses

wrapped in pastel foils

melt memories of Christmas reds and greens

malted robin egg renewal

herald chirps outside

harsh winter grays fade to

Morning Mexican Petunia Goes Mayhem

Ray snapped this picture the other morning around 7 am. The Mexican petunia is berserk. I think this is the most blooms ever. They pop out in the morning and then drop off by afternoon. Truly, they shed in the mega heat of the day. Overnight, they think about it and create new blooms. Gorgeous color and low maintenance. They bake in the sun against a brick backdrop.

Hard to believe children start school on Monday and then it's Labor Day/September in a week. The summer has flown by.

Bustin' June

 Enjoyed a stroll Saturday at the Dallas Arboretum. It's glorious there. I always go for the spring tulips (around Easter) and the fall pumpkins, but I had not been in June.  Well, silly me. The purples are popping.
