Sail into the Weekend

Summer temps are here in Texas - heat index over 100. Whew!  I'd like to pretend to sail away. Here are pictures of Philadelphia's harbor courtesy of my sister. She was on a friend's boat last weekend. Aah - a sea breeze

Hope everyone cruises into a fun weekend.  Happy Friday!

    1. Alas, work gets in the way. Otherwise I'd head out right this second. Have a cup of tea for me

  2. Nice! It's pretty hot here in Nashville...I'd rather be IN the water rather than on it.

    1. I admit I do have a pool and that helps a lot. Water is still refreshing, not a spa. I do like being on a boat, though for a scenic ride

  3. It's hot here in Florida, too. Sailing sounds like fun, though. Especially the sea breeze part. :)

    1. I like the wind in my hair and that salt air, gulls squawking, etc

  5. It's bloody hot here, too. (Thank goodness for air conditioning!) Best thing about the early heat and all the sunshine we've had is that we've been eating tomatoes from our garden since the middle of May. I don't remember ever getting them that early before. We could sure use some water, though. Rain would be nice, since we're now in what has been called a severe drought, but I'd certainly settle for being out ON the water on a boat.

You sail into a super weekend, too.

    1. and you folks have the humidity in GA. Trouble with TX is we start the day at 78 and late at night it's still 95 or so. Oh well. Keep that electric bill paid!

  6. Looks like a great place to be on a boat at! Stay cool as you can. We went in the pool last night, mind you the water temperature is 86 degrees, and it felt cold, of course outside air was 103 degrees. We did adapt and did just fine.

I just hope the hot weather we are predicted doesn't go your way next.

  7. The breeze would sure be nice on the water. Blah to such temps. Glad it doesn't usually go that high here.

    1. TX is rather insane in the summer. My husband thrives. I'll never get used to it

  8. I don't know how you southerners deal w/ the summer heat. It's bad enough in New England.
