Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day to everybody.  Hope it's a good day and a good weekend.

Love means surviving a makeover. Ray and I, hopefully, have new floors when you read this. I can't promise I'll have our computer back on to comment on everyone's posts.

We've done a rather thorough purge of stuff in closets that have not seen the light of day for years....and years....and years.

I've shredded plenty of ancient history.  Decisions have been made, we are trying to think outside the box - how shall we use our space in the next 5, 10,15, 20 years?

These are the times that try men's (and women's) souls.  We aren't moving. Hence the construction chaos.  But we are hanging tough, cooperating, and collaborating. All  for a common purpose - our lives together under the same roof.

Wish us luck. I see the light on the other side. Meanwhile....chocolate...thank goodness for Valentine's Day chocolate.

Cheers everyone.

  1. New floors are a big deal - and a lot of work moving stuff out of the room. Hope the floors and purge go well.

  4. Happy Valentine's Day! Cleaning out things no longer needed combined with remodeling can test a relationship indeed. I'm glad to hear you are making your way through it.

    1. thumbs up. Hope all is well with you. A snowy Valentine's Day? sounds like it's been quite cold based on weather reports.

  5. Renovations and purging sure can take up a lot of time, but must be done eventually. Unless one wants to be a hoarder.

    1. I am truly the anti-hoarder. Don't let stuff sit too long - it gets chunked. All good so far. Whew!

  6. Congrats on the new flooring and old stuff-purging, and more importantly, for still smiling on the other side of it all. Some of our room could reeeeeally use an overhaul, but neither of us are up to moving all of that stuff around any more to get 'er done, so we've convinced ourselves that it's "just fine" the way it is. :)

I hope you guys had a super Valentine's Day. (I love that heart-shaped cactus leaf.) (Leaf...? Is that what they call 'em...?)
