Hanging Around Interval

One glimpse of blue sky and some sun on Saturday. Out and about, we were inspired to get this new hanging basket. I even took a quick dip in the pool - a brisk 74.

Otherwise Memorial Weekend was low key and that's okay.

Friends were supposed to come over on Monday, but we agreed that, with flash floods predicted all day, it was better to postpone. It did rain, and rain, and rain some more.

Hanging out, hanging around....it's now June.... and I see a summer theme....just hanging

  1. Ohh 74 sounds so lovely, here we are into 40+ (110-ish in F)! The hanging basket looks beautiful, very apt for the season. Wishing you fair weather soon and a great summer.

    1. The pool temp was 74 and that felt brisk when it wasn't 80 outdoor temp. It's all relative. And your 40 ish C is crazy.

    1. With 2020 in the rear view mirror, I'm still in not actively booked mode. Lots of time pacing - read, a nap, sit, enjoy birds, etc

  3. Thursday we were at 80+. By Friday, we were at 45 and pouring rain... and we had that all weekend. I had a space heater on. Ugh!

    1. My Dad in PA said it's been a crazy spring. Lots of highs and lows. We've just had rain, lots of it.

    1. Our french drain is not draining, so it's getting a bit ankle deep out back. Ground is sopping. But we'll hit that heat soon and then yearn for these days. Good to see you back!

  5. Hi Joanne - I'm glad the floods didn't arrive and hope they stay away. And as you say ... shortly you'll be wishing the cooler days back. Hanging isn't so bad ... peaceful times ... relax and generally recoup. That basket is delightful - cheers Hilary

    1. we had plenty of rain and it's not stopping. Not record breaking but it sure seems like it. The basket is enjoying the rain, so that's good. I'm not the best at watering (oops).

    1. Glad for your sake that "normal" can mean music, etc. Plus hikes with family and gardening. Enjoy spring and summer
