May Day and an update. While the A - Z posts magically appeared, I've been sitting with my foot up after the toe tendon surgery. I shall not share the Frankenstein toe picture - Let's just say it's gross and Dr. Taylor is a messy seamstress. However, I am healing nicely. He's pleased. And I've not had to use my air horn to summon Ray.
Ray is beyond awesome, taking very good care of me. Next year, when he has his knee replacement, I'll have pay back, no doubt. (But I'm hiding the air horn!!)
Happy May Day, everyone. It's a gorgeous day here

Sorry to see that and I hope all gets better soon. By the way, it's raining here which is why I didn't run the Broad Street Run.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's my story and I'm sticking with it.
You may still drink beer as a reward

ReplyDeleteYeah, that's my story and I'm sticking with it.
I'm envisioning a sequel to Athletic Antics, Joanne. I'm sorry, though - that's not fun at all. Glad Ray is on-call for your care needs, and I hope you heal very quickly.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Wish I had a really good story for my flub. All on the upswing. I can still work toward my dream of being a ballerina. Ha!
DeleteI'm glad to hear you're on the mend and that you've had good care. It's gorgeous here today too.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I should be writing with all this time, but Netflix!
DeleteSorry to hear about your foot, glad you're on the mend. I had a broken bone in my knee a few years ago and I know that being immobile in that way is no fun. Glad you have a helper.
ReplyDeleteTime has gone by fairly quickly, but I am starting to get antsy
DeleteOh my gosh! I was thinking "is that an airhorn I see?" Love it! (Sorry about the surgery though and hope you heal quickly)
ReplyDeleteGuys at work gave me the airhorn to mess with Ray.
DeleteGod bless you, dear! You are more of a trooper then I would be.

Thanks. You do what you've got to do.
DeleteOuch! Glad you have someone to help you and be with you while you recuperate!

It gets frustrating ( for both parties)
DeleteHi Joanne - so pleased all has gone well .. and oh yes he'll have is cumuppance next year ... but roll on being able to walk and get about .. take care - and cheers to you both - air horn! That's a good one ... Hilary
ReplyDeleteThanks. For better or worse plus airhorn!
DeleteWow. It sounds like you are on the mend, which is great news. I'm sending healing thoughts.
ReplyDeleteThanks. All good here with plenty of support
DeleteFoot surgery can be a bear! Glad you're on the road to recovery. My mom got one of those scooter things when she had her toe surgery. She had a hard time with crutches--I even had a hard time with them. They weren't as easy as when I was a kid! So she got a scooter thing. She just put her knee on it and scooted her way everywhere she needed to go. It didn't work with stairs, though...but not much does!
ReplyDeleteI've gotten better with the crutches - probably best that I do move slowly. I think my husband would have more fun with the scooter and would no doubt upgrade it with an engine - ha!
ReplyDeleteSorry to learn about your foot

Thanks. Appreciate you coming by
DeleteGood that it is healing well. You might want to blow the horn a few times just in case he finds it next year haha
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should!
DeleteGlad to read that it's healing well. Should we secretly thank the toe for keeping you sedentary at your computer to do all that AtoZ-ing?
